Learn to find Joy in Your Life

Listed below are some examples of how I have helped to find JOY in my Life.

It is a question or a statement that we all would like to say that we know how to find the joy in our life. I read a wonderful book, The 4:8 principle-The secret to a Joy-filled life.

It is probably one of the best books I have read. In the bible study group at we always pick someone at the end of each groups session . We have a testimony and overview. I was chosen from our group to be the person that did this. In my talk, I said that he suggested in our waking hours instead of making a “to do list” we have a” to think list”. What shall we meditate on for the day, where will we let our minds go. What will we lead the day with. We get busy with our chores our to do list and don’t often take the time to think on what we should think on.

I had the group close their eyes and said  “ think on things that are lovely, think on things that are pure”, taking it from the 4:8 context.

Smile evolved around the room. I’m not sure what everyone had on their mind but it was of joy!

So take the time in our life and give your heart, mind and spirit a pick me up.

I also want to share with you some other things that our Pastor Jeff shared in a sermon on JOY.

  1. Enlarge your interest
  2. Laugh a-lot
  3. Express gratitude to a friend
  4. Be kind, thoughtful and caring
  5. Read the Bible daily
  6. Accentuate the positive
  7. Overlook pettiness and jealousy
  8. Yield your life to God
  9. Complete what you start

“Joy is peace Dancing”.   I love that saying, I love to dance and I know how it feels to be at peace and I imagine dancing with peace in my heart. It’s like the grasses dancing in the wind ever so delicately and lightly.

Just as the Father has loved Me. I have loved you; abide in MY love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full John 15:9,11.

It is my sincere hope and prayer  that you find joy in your life!

Dear Father I ask if anyone needs to have peace restored into any part of their lives that you give them the peace that passes all understanding. That you guide, direct and show wisdom into their lives so that they can have the life you desired for them. That they know all your promises are yes and amen, and that we give you thanks for covering those needs. In Jesus’ name, amen.
